On the one hand the systems make things easier for drivers by assisting and supporting them during critical moments. On the other hand, in the event of emergency the occupant protection systems help to reduce risk of injury, such as with the high-strength safety occupant cell. The tank is housed in a protected area in front of the rear axle, doors automatically unlock after an accident, the hazard warning lamps turn themselves on to warn other drivers and make it easier for rescue workers to locate the vehicle. Even the engine can switch off automatically.
